The 2013 Gran Fondo: Texas TMCO is a BP MS150 Recommended Ride. This ride benefits the Texas Medical Center Orchestra and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The first two years of this event were a huge success, with over 2700 riders enjoying the wonderful rolling hills outside of Houston, excellent music at the rest stops and great volunteers throughout the route. The 2013 event will again be a 'gran fondo' type ride (which means 'big ride' in Italian). It will have a new route through the rolling hills of Southeast Texas, and live music at many of the rest stops. The routes will range from as little as 12 miles for the family ride to a challenging 94 miles (route details will be finalized and posted in March).
What makes the Gran Fondo: Texas TMCO™ unique?
Music. Live music at most rest stops and the post-ride luncheon.
Route. Great roads and hill training in Waller and Grimes Counties. View Map Here
Communities. Riders go through historical towns of Whitehall, Navasota and Anderson, where the oldest courthouse in Texas is located.
Discounted TMCO concert tickets. Each rider is entitled to two discounted concert tickets for the Fall 2013 concert, to be held at the Wortham Center.
Team Entries. Enter your friends and fellow teammates.
Houston Oaks. In addition to the host site, spousal and family activities will be available while the riders are on the road. Bring your family and enjoy Houston Oaks.
